A man and his daughter suddenly disappear on a small island in the Adriatic Sea. The woman is left behind with the belongings of the missing.
“Disappearing” is a fragmented story about the loss of people and things, and the inner state triggered by their disappearance. It is a story where time flows extremely slowly. Between the photos, the space between the images opens up, the gap, the fragmented memory. The film was inspired by a short story by Nobel laureate Olga Tokarczuk.
