What annoys visually impaired people about the sighted? This story is told by a blind woman who goes shopping and repeatedly encounters unwelcome everyday obstacles. Her story is narrated in the form of a complaint letter read by the computer voice Steffi and is composed of numerous anecdotes from blind and visually impaired people who tell of their everyday lives with dark humor.

Despite refusing images, “The Best Way” is much more than just a filmed desktop screen. Where a speech program must fail at emotional moments, the feeling shifts to the text-image, in the highlights, typographies, font sizes, arrangements, and colors that unfold over time. Seen this way, the eye feels its way here, and the film becomes the Braille of the sighted in the cinema. Rarely has meta-film been so casual and witty without losing complexity.”
